Lakshmi Muir
Hello, I’m Lakshmi Muir, a Clinical and Educational & Developmental Psychologist supporting individuals through different life stages and identity shifts.
My practice is focused on attachment and relationships, with a particular interest in women’s mental health. I often work with people who have spent years holding everything together, striving, caretaking, and pushing themselves to meet impossibly high standards, while feeling worn down or disconnected underneath it all. My work centers on understanding the relational patterns that shape how you show up in your life and relationships, and how perfectionism and self-sacrifice may have once helped, but now feel costly. Therapy at Red String Psychology is a space to slow down, make sense of these patterns, and begin relating to yourself and others with more ease, safety, and self-compassion.
My work is attachment-focused and relational, exploring how early experiences, changing roles, and relationships shape our mental health over time. I prioritise presence, attunement, and creating an emotionally safe space where you can feel truly understood as we make sense of your experiences together.
I’m also a board-approved supervisor and enjoy supervising other psychologists, provisional psychologists, and those completing their Educational and Developmental Registrar Program for Endorsement.
Please reach out if this feels like a good fit for you.
